NS Mental Health & Addictions Health Promotion Team

The team focuses on promoting positive mental health by addressing the social determinants of health like inclusion, safety, and economic security.
CAMI (Conversations About Mental Illness) is a pilot program. On March 30th, Leah Ladouceur and Julia Bedell of the MH & A Mental Health Promotion Team facilitated the first session of CAMI. Representatives of various organizations within NS who support individuals living with mental illness, came together to delve into the topic of stigma as a barrier to flourishing. The topic generated meaningful conversation and laid the groundwork for future actions to address stigma in NS communities.
